GANGPLANK
A movable bridge used in boarding or leaving a ship at a pier.

HUBBERT'S PEAK
The highest point of global oil exploration and discovery, first postulated by M. King Hubbert in 1956, a point which was reached in 1970; following the peak would be a theoretical point at which the world's oil consumption would surpass oil production, thus leading to an irreversible and potentially disastrous decline in the world's energy output, a point currently estimated to occur between the years 2004 and 2008.
Usage: Interview focusing on the effect of potentially increased Iraqi oil production on world petroleum markets.
