BOVINE SPONGIFORM ENCEPHALOPATHY
An infectious degenerative brain disease occurring in cattle; also called mad cow disease.
Usage: Report of single case of mad cow disease recently discovered in Canada.

RUMINANT
Of or relating to a suborder (Ruminantia) of even-toed hoofed mammals (as sheep, giraffes, deer, and camels) that chew the cud and have a complex usually four-chambered stomach.

VITILIGO
A disorder characterized by regions of otherwise normal skin of nonpigmented white patches of varied sizes, often symmetrically distributed and usually bordered by hyperpigmented areas; hair in the affected areas is usually, but not always, white.
