DIRTY BOMB
- A conventional explosive, such as dynamite, packaged with radioactive material designed to scatter upon detonation; while the initial blast will kill or injure dozens if not hundreds, the intent of a dirty bomb is to sow panic and chaos, and render large portions of urban areas uninhabitable due to radiation contamination.
