HAPPOSHU
A type of Japanese beer, classified by its malt ratio of less than 67%, that is taxed at a lower rate than what is legally defined as beer (defined in Japan by the percentage of malt it contains), thus making it cheaper for consumers to purchase than regular beer; roughly translates as "sparkling liquor" or "fizzy alcohol."
