DENGUE
An acute infectious disease caused by an arbovirus, transmitted by aedes mosquitoes, and characterized by headache, severe joint pain, and a rash - also called "breakbone fever," "dengue fever."

VIDOCQ
Eugene Francois Vidocq, An 18th century French crook-turned-cop who first offered his services as a police spy and informer, and later became so successful at catching criminals that he eventually directed a force of 28 detectives, all of whom were also former criminals, and is considered by historians and those in law enforcement to be the father of modern criminal investigation (pron. "vee-dock").
Usage: Report on The Vidocq Society, a group of law enforcement members, forensic scientists, artists, physiologists and other experts who focus on unsolved criminal cases.
