BARISTA
A person who makes coffee drinks as a profession.
Usage: Business report on popularity of obscure or personalized action figure toys, one of which was a miniature barista.

INGUSHETIA
An autonomous republic of southwest Russia in the northern Caucasus west of Chechnya, which approved separation from Chechnya in a referendum (1991) and became an autonomous republic within the Russian Federation the following year.
Usage: Live coverage of a hostage situation at a popular theater in downtown Moscow allegedly carried out by rebel Islamic separatists from Chechnya.

SMERTNIKI
A Russian word meaning "fighters prepared to die for a cause," or "suicide death squads," similar to the Japanese word "kamikaze," the Islamic "mujahideen," or the generic "holy warrior."
